At SSCC, we believe there is a place in the church for everyone. We believe everyone is blessed with unique gifts to use for the Kingdom. As a volunteer, you can sign up for weekly or monthly commitments, or you can volunteer for one project at a time.

The Church Office

For all opportunities, you will be provided with training and support. Regardless of your expertise, there is a place for you. Take a few minutes to prayerfully browse through this list.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas.

Administrative/Office Assistance/Organization:

Work in the office as needed on general administrative projects.

CD Ministry:

Copy and hand out CDs of the Sunday morning message.

Children’s Ministry:

(CORI check, reference check, and application process required.)

  • Be a Teacher or Helper for nursery – 5th grade and treasure kids
  • Act in skits for the children
  • Play an instrument or lead worship with the children
  • Assist with administrative work
  • Clean and organize classrooms and supply area
  • Assist parents with the sign-in process

Communion Preparation Team:

Prepare and set up communion elements prior to service.

Creative Arts:

For those gifted in visual arts including drama, dance, set design, etc.

Greeting Team:

Serve Sunday mornings to welcome, assist and hand out bulletins to those coming into the service. Collect offering during the service.

Guest Central:

Serve as the first point of connection for visitors and those looking to get connected.

Hospitality/Special Events:

Decorate, prepare food, serve, clean up, and perform other event-based tasks. 

Media Production:

Shoot and produce high-quality videos for the Sunday service and website. 

Photographer:

Take high-quality photos of service, volunteers and events. 

Service Producer:

Oversee logistics on Sunday morning and serve as a point person to all Sunday morning teams. Must have strong attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to operate well under time constraints.

Sound/Media Technician:

Work Sunday mornings on sound or media team.

Teen Ministry:

(CORI check, reference check, & application process required.)

Serve Sunday nights and events, mentor junior or senior high teens.

Website Administrator:

Keep general website information up to date, including events, sermons, photos, general ministry details. Basic web experience preferred.

Worship Team:

Serve on a weekly basis. Auditions required.
